Description
Adorned with a lovely Celtic silver bail, this intricate Celtic trinity necklace features a piece of Irish yew wood, recycled from musical instruments constructed by a local luthier. As a musician myself, I take enormous satisfaction in creating a necklace whose inherent wood has previously featured in a beautiful hand-made guitar or harp.
Considered one of the sacred trees in the Celtic world, the yew has long been associated with immortality & longevity. As a consequence, warriors and poets alike were often called after it. Indeed, Eoghan remains one of the more popular Irish names in modern Ireland. The Druids chose yew from which to make their wands, or staffs, and cherished it as having powerful magical properties.
Celtic knots date back to the 3rd to 4th century B.C. Drawn in one continuous line, suggesting a continuous movement of time, they represent infinity and eternal life. They symbolize faith, declare love & unity between people, and even protect against evil spirits. The iconic Celtic trinity knot (or triquetra) has a myriad of symbolic interpretations. Pagans treasure it as a representation of the forces of Nature, earth, fire and water. On a more spiritual level it is seen to symbolize life, death and rebirth. It was latterly adapted by Christians to represent the three elements of the holy Trinity.
This lovely Celtic trinity necklace is the perfect gift for anyone with Irish heritage or for someone who resonates with the Celtic myths and traditions of the natural world.
More than just a piece of jewellery, this necklace is a connection to Ireland’s past, a symbol of nature’s enduring beauty, and a testament to the artistry of craftsmen. It’s a thoughtful gift for a loved one or a meaningful addition to your own collection.

Thank you for the beautiful necklace and for sending it so quickly. I purchased it for a friend who has just had a second baby and has include Euan in his names so I specifically wanted something made from the wood of the yew tree.
I shall certainly be recommending your jewellery to my friends and might even be able to persuade someone to buy a piece for me!
